Getting To And From The Airport:
As we said, Heathrow airport offers a great selection of public transport offerings to get to and from the airport, depending on your preference, where you are coming from in the city and how much time you have to get to the airport! Remember; London isn’t the cheapest place in the world for public transport so weigh up your options beforehand:
Bus:
National Express offer a service to Victoria (connecting to the greater UK network) Rail Air have a coach service which goes from Reading Station to Heathrow
Train:
RailAir have a train service linking Fletham, Reading, Woking, Watford Junction and Heathrow. Alternatively for a speedy trip to Heathrow airport, take the Heathrow Express from central London and get to the airport in 15 minutes.
Tube:
There are three underground stations in Heathrow for the Piccadilly Line, one for Terminals 1, 2 & 3, one for Terminal 4 and the newly opened Terminal 5 and it takes on average an hour or so to the city.
Shuttle:
Check if your hotel offers an airport shuttle, if not, try the Hotel Hoppa which provides shuttles from Terminals 1, 3, 4 and 5.
Taxi:
Taxis are located outside each Terminal at Heathrow. The journey takes about an hour, traffic depending and the cost can be anywhere from £45-70.
Car:
