Start your road trip in Salerno and get on to the SS163 at Vietri sul Mare and as you are driving along this coast road, take your time, stop off, get pictures, soak up the views. Next to get to Ravello, you will go inland near Atrani. Ravello is supposed to be one of the most beautiful and romantic towns in all of Italy (and that is saying something!). When you come back on to the coast road again, you will come into Amalfi town, and there is lovey sightseeing up in the hills behind the town to the Valle dei Mullni. Once you leave Amalfi town, further along the coast you will come to Smeraldo to the Vallone di Furore where you can explore the gorges before arriving in Praiano and Postiano. If time and interest permitting, you can drive even further along the Sorrento peninsula.
