Goldcar Car Rental

Goldcar Rental was founded in 1985 in Alicante, Spain by the Alcaraz brother. It is a Spanish car hire company that began with just five car for rent and grew year on year. With growth firmly established, the company was renamed Europa Rent a Car and it continued to prosper, expanding the number of car hire locations and growing the fleet. Europa Rent a Car was renamed GoldCar Rental in 2006 and this is the company that we work with today. This expanision has resulted in Goldcar now having a fleet of more than 30,000 cars which is renews at a rate of 70% of the fleet annually.

Given that Spain is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe, it is no surprise that Goldcar focuses on the leisure and tourist car hire market in Spain. They have built up a solid business with locations all the mainland of Spain and on the Spanish islands. Mainland locations include key cities such as Barcelona, Madrid and Seville as well as along the Mediterranean cost which makes up the Costa del Sol and has locations such as Malaga Airport, Alicante Airport, Valencia Airport. Locations on the Spanish islands include Canary Islands of Tenerife, Fuerteventura, Gran Canarias, Lanzarote, and the Balearic Islands of Majorca, Minorca, Ibiza and Formentera.

With the successes experience in Spain, Goldcar now has expanded its car hire locations to include cars for rent in Madeira, Lisbon and Faro in Portugal and in Italy, its locations include Bologna, Bergamo and Malpensa Airports.
