Geneva International Airport
The International Airport in Geneva is officially called Genève Aéroport and was previously known as Cointrin Airport. It is located about 4kms from the city of Geneva and is a very popular airport due to its proximity to Geneva, but also because of its very central location providing excellent access to all of Switzerland but also to a lot of neighboring locations including Lyon in France which is only an hour and a half away or Turin in Italy which is only two and a half hours away. Passengers coming through Geneva airport are business people, tourists and in winter large numbers of skiers and snowboarders on their way to enjoy the slopes and après ski of the Alps.
