Palma de Mallorca Airport
Mallorca Airport or officially Palma de Mallorca Airport is the main airport on the Spanish island of Mallorca (sometimes called Majorca). The airport is 8kms away from the main city of Palma and it is the favored landing spot of 22 million passengers a year coming predominantly from Germany, Spain and the UK and Ireland. It is busy year round, however, there is a noticeable increase in passenger traffic during the summer season with a high volume of charter flights and Ryanair flights from all over Europe as well as the very popular routes from Barcelona, Madrid, Cologne and the UK. Due to the popularity of the airport and the constant increase in traffic, the airport is currently being expanded to cope with a higher capacity of 38 million passengers per year. Because it is really busy in the summer months especially, always try to have your onward journey planned before you get there.

Nearby Attractions
Mallorca is great because you can see so much of it in on short holiday, its big enough that there is loads to see and do, but small enough that you can enjoy day trips and shorter trips to see some great sites. From the airport you are less than a half hour drive from Illetas, Magaluf, San Agustin, Palma Nova, Port Nous, El Toro/Calvia; or 45 minutes from Santa Ponsa and only an hour from Alcudia, Cala D’Or or Puerto Pollensa. For a little exploration, we would recommend the coastal reserve of Mondrago Natural Park with its wetlands, white beaches and turquoise blue seas. Or drive op to the beautiful Cap de Formentor on the Northern Tip of Mallorca with stunning, dramatic scenery and sandy beaches.
