Getting there & Away

Barcelona El Prat Airport lies on the south west of Barcelona. The main ways to get to and from the airport are Bus, Taxi, Train and Rental Car. There are several bus routes and a train route that run from the airport to Barcelona city centre and to other locations in Catalonia and Andorra. City centre buses leave every 5 minutes at peak time and it takes 35 minutes. The train takes about 25 minutes to Passeig de Gracia and trains depart every 30 minutes from 5.45am to just before midnight. Taxis are available outside the terminals and fares to/from the airport include a €3.10 supplement. Also, beware that bigger bags can incur extra charges of $1 per item.
