Geneva International Airport,
was previously known as Cointrin Airport and its official name is Genève Aéroport. It is a major airport in Europe due to its central location and excellent onward transport facilities within Switzerland and easy access to neighbouring France (Lyon; 1 hour 30 minutes) and Italy (Turin; 2 hours, 30 minutes). The airport is located just 4kms from the city centre of Geneva and caters for business people and tourists coming to Geneva. The airport is 4km from the centre of Geneva, its is easily reached by train or bus using the local Unireso system.
