Verona Airport

is also known as Villafranca or Valerio Catullo Airport. It is a very clean and modern airport located perfectly for anyone wishing to explore northern Italy including the delights Venice and nearby Lake Garda, the Dolomites and the South Tyrol area. It is a lovely airport to land in and because it is relatively small, collecting luggage and getting through the airport is relatively pain free, except at the very height of summer when you have people coming in droves to experience and explore the beauty of the surrounding area. Verona itself is about 13kms from the airport which is a 15 -20 minute drive and worth a visit in its own right.
